💡 About the exhibition
Jora is a site-specific installation that stems from the observation of light in the architectural environment of the Foundation. Pedro Torres focuses on specific elements, such as alabaster and water, and their interaction with light: materials that allude to the period of time between flow and sedimentation.
Miró observed his immediate natural surroundings and, from there, constructed a sculptural-pictorial language based on simple forms and colors. In Torres's case, this observation leads us to a much broader temporal dimension, bringing into the present a material past that continues to unfold.
In both cases, the observation of reality allows for a poetic transformation of materiality: Miró's quest to explore the physical sensation of color and its projection in space is the same one that guides Torres in this project.
