

It has been declared of touristic interest and has been held since the 1960s in Sant Joan the first Sunday of October. In the afternoon, bonfires are lit and the people from the village roast slices of bread with botifarrons (a typical Majorcan sausage), and eat to the beat of the music.

A day before the beginning of the Patron Saint festivities of Fornalutx in honor of the Virgin of september, the 7th, the village welcomes hundreds of young people participating in the correbou. In the first hours of the morning, an enormous bull comes out of his lair; a large wood drawer, and moves through the streets of the town with the horn tied to some strings guided by the many young people accompanying him on his journey. For some years, after the protests of environmental groups, a group of volunteers ensures that the bull does not suffer any kind of harassment or abuse.

The activities take place during several days, with a great variety of acts. One of the most traditional is the baixada del conil (bringing down the rabbit), the young people from Muro try to climb a soapy trunk, on the top of which there’s a rabbit and an envelope with money.

The imaginary world in which this cultural fair moves are the Majorcan rondaies, folk tales collected by writer Antoni Maria Alcover and published in 1880 under the pseudonym of Jordi des Racó. On this day, the main streets in the village of Buger are done up with decorations that depict scenes from the most famous rondaies. Also there will be workshops, parades, staged readings, etc.

Both shows are celebrated simultaneously during two days in Son Ferriol (Palma), with a display of sportive and musical activities, furthermore workshops of recycling and elaboration of typical products from Mallorca. They have an agricultural character, involving cattle, handcraft and industry.

This fair has been celebrated since 2010 in Ses Cases de Ca s’Hereu, a estate that has been declared historic heritage and conserves a tower of the 13th century. Here one can find a great variety of products, elaborated with almonds, almond wood and almond flower. The fair includes an exhibition of farming machinery and tools, used for harvest and treatment of this fruit. Furthermore there is an exhibition of more than 50 different varieties of almonds from Mallorca.

With an agricultural, industrial and ecological character, involves livestock and handcraft. It includes the book fair and the Nit del Art (Art Night), with a large number of exhibitions throughout the village.
